It's not our failures that fail us in being used by God...rather it's our failure to believe that God is greater than our failures. When we focus on our failures we flounder in feelings of self rejection and we believe we are disqualified from His usefulness. Rather, when we fail, we should acknowledge it and appropriately grieve the impact of our actions. Our failures only fail us if we stay on the sidelines and don't get up.

Running To Win Doesn't Mean Others Have To Lose
The Apostle Paul challenges to run our lives in a way to "win" (I Corinthians 9:24). We need to approach each day with a "winning" attitude. Paul's perspective on a winning attitude is an uncommon one, for his attitude is that winning does not mean that other people lose. Winning is not accomplished at the expense of others. On the contrary, winning occurs through serving others. Winning happens when we help others experience redemption. Winning occurs when I help others to gain that which they cannot lose.
